T.J. Murphy is a writer, runner, coach, and dad. He lives in the metropolitan Boston area with his wife, Gretchen, and their kids, Milo and Maddie.

Currently the editorial director of The Writer, T.J.’s feature writing has also appeared in Outside, Runner’s World, and Triathlete. He’s also the author or co-author of several books, including Inside the Box, Ready to Run, and Unbreakable Runner.

In addition to coaching online clients, T.J. is head coach of the Shamrock Running Club.
